OLED; Soon to Come to iPhone?

LG is producing new, far better screens.

LG is a big component of the tech industry. Potentially no more so than now, as it has begun production of a large amount of OLED screens. OLED screens are screens that are made in a way that allows them to be a much higher resolution than normal screens. Also, theses types of screens can be made to be much more flexible than any others. In fact, they are going to spend $8.7 billion on production of the screens. They are doing this so they can have an advantage when these type of screens become more prevalent in average homes. Apple has been rumored to be looking into using OLED in an upcoming version of the iPhone. This would all happen sometime around 2018, which isn’t as far off as it sounds. Soon enough we are going to be in a world of 4k screens, until 8k, or higher, takes over.
